A True Paranormal Story About Santa Muerte, Psychic Knowing, Death, Power and Love
At 2:30 in the morning, I woke instantly, as if someone had shaken me.
Then I heard a voice:
“The spirit of death is outside.”
So I woke my husband, grabbed my dowsing rods, walked into the street, and followed it.
What happened next was one of the strangest paranormal experiences of my life—and as a psychic medium who has conducted around 1,000 readings, I have seen some wild things.
This is a true paranormal story about death.
But perhaps not death as you understand it.
Story Summary
What does it mean when a psychic medium sees the spirit of death walking through a building?
In this first-person true paranormal story, author and medium Leslie Juvin-Acker, J.D. recounts waking in the middle of the night after hearing a voice announce that “the spirit of death is outside,” following its presence through the streets of Castelnaudary, France, and watching it eventually take the form of Santa Muerte.
The experience forced her to reconsider one of the Bible’s most haunting lines: “The wages of sin is death.”
Part ghost story, part spiritual reflection and part psychic memoir, this is an account of premonition, a near-death experience, Santa Muerte, past-life regression, spiritual
warfare, human power—and the strange realization that death itself was not what frightened her.
What frightened her was what human beings willingly choose to create.

True Paranormal Story: “The Wages of Sin Is Death”
“The wages of sin is death.”
The Bible.
I did not understand what that meant.
I guess, in the retributive justice framework—the Code of Hammurabi—it means you sin,
you die.
Death sentence.
But this goes to man’s justice system, I suppose.
A true misunderstanding of what death really is and what sin is.
I did not understand what this verse meant until I saw it for myself, when I stared death
right in the face.
And it is not what you think I mean.
Near-Death Experience: The Place I Went
When I Died
During my near-death experience, I dropped dead: a sudden cardiac arrest.
I was brought to the most beautiful, serene, caring place—the cosmic womb, where
everything exists in this velvety blackness but is not yet manifested and individuated in
the world of light.
This was not death.
It was life eternal.
The storehouse of heaven.
And I know exactly where it is.
You’ll find it, too… eventually.
No.
I met the spirit of death.
This is what it taught me.
Psychic Medium Experiences: Why I Question
Everything
As a medium, I have seen some wild things.
As a result, I barely believe anything religions, governments, proselytizers and politicians
tell me.
I guess it goes true to my form and mission to get you to question everything you believe.
The more open-minded you are, the more potentials are possible to you.
But that is beside the point.
Santa Muerte Encounter: The Saint of Death
Sometimes, I see Santa Muerte—the saint of death—exactly as it is shown: the skeleton
with the cape, following people.
I have seen it following old men crossing the street.
I saw it standing next to a woman in a parking lot, chain-smoking.
I have seen this saint of death following those who are going to die.
Psychic Premonition: I Knew the
Confrontation Was Coming
If you followed my last blog post about being confronted by a city employee, you
probably thought how disturbing that was.
Some locals I have seen since said it was totally expected, knowing such individuals.
But there is something important that I left out.
It was this:
I knew it was going to happen.
I had a vision about it.
Even more, on the night of the solar eclipse, I had a past-life regression about being
attacked by a man on the street, and I knew afterward that I would identify this person
soon.
And there they came.
A divine appointment they could not miss.
A conflict they could not resist.
And I saw that person in the past life, and I saw them in this life.
It was an unmistakable, uncanny knowing.
It was psychic knowing on every level of my being.
I had to let this man play it out as if he knew he had the upper hand.
But I knew exactly what was happening.
I was seeing him for what he was and what he had in store.
Paranormal Encounter: “The Spirit of Death
Is Outside”
But I need to go back even further, to the week before.
I was awakened in the middle of the night.
It was about 2:30 in the morning.
I was instantly wide awake, as if shaken by someone.
I heard a voice say:
“The spirit of death is outside.”
If you heard this, what would you do?
Well, as for me, I have been there and done that.
I’ve almost died a few times.
I have lived through poverty, abuse, neglect and ostracism.
I survived.
And I am also curious.
So I woke up Franck, grabbed my dowsing rods to prove it to him, and went directly to
the building where it was walking:
City Hall.
Spirit of Death: Something Was Walking the
Halls
I said to Franck:
“The spirit of death is walking the halls of City Hall, and I can prove it to you!”
I could feel it moving.
I pointed my dowsing rods in its direction and immediately, they crossed each other.
Suddenly, I could feel it get larger.
A growing cloud of black, making its way toward me.
And yet, I felt no fear in my heart.
Only love and respect for it.
As a medium who has done about 1,000 readings, I know death is nothing to fear.
And having experienced dying—dropping dead and coming back—I can tell you:
If your heart is pure, you have nothing to worry about.
Psychic Medium Story: Death Scanned Our
Hearts
The spirit of death left the building and approached me on the street, where I stood by
the gates.
It was about 20 feet tall by 30 feet wide.
It was black and powerful.
Immediately, I knew it was scanning my heart.
I passed the test.
I looked out of the corner of my eye at Franck, who was half-asleep and had no idea what
was happening.
It scanned his heart.
He passed the test.
I blew a sigh of relief.
Then it took the form of Santa Muerte, retreated back into the building and continued
stalking the halls.
Spiritual Meaning of Death: “The Wages of
Sin Is Death”
I said to Franck what it told me without saying a word:
The wages of sin is death.
That when you can choose to do good and willingly do harm, you attract death.
With every choice, you choose death.
Scripture says to choose life.
That makes a hell of a lot of sense to me now.
It showed me that those who are in power—who have authority bestowed upon them by
the people—who choose to enrich themselves, who choose to thwart progress, who
mismanage resources, who lie, cheat and steal, who are lazy and lie, develop the presence
of death around them.
It manifests as physical disease, rotting body parts, misfortune, drama, conflict and
pestilence.
It is a spirit that eventually destroys the physical ecosystem.
That is why mafias and other criminal organizations have so many deaths and why
scientists and helpers save lives and create inventions.
It is really that simple.
Clairvoyant Experience: I Can See the Light
in People
I can see the light in people.
I really can.
It is a bright, powerful light.
It shines through their chakras.
Those who cultivate death are very pessimistic downers.
They hide the light.
Jesus said:
“You are the light of the world.”
He wasn’t being hyperbolic.
He was being literal.
Santa Muerte Story: What I Saw Standing
Behind Him
I faced down death, and I loved it.
I know death cannot harm me.
So when I saw the man who pretended to beg us to let him help us—and knowing he was
lying—I saw Santa Muerte behind him.
I saw the hooded spirit behind him.
He thought I did not know he was lying.
But the spirit of death disclosed it for me.
So when people commend me for standing up to people like that—for bringing
attention to the matters that are affecting them—they say
they worry for me because they have been targeted:
Been fined thousands.
Attacked.
Lost business.
Been slandered by the very people who are in power.
But in this instance, I see what they could not.
The spiritual plane.
Spiritual Warfare: The Real Battle Is Inside Us
Someone in great power in the military once said to a friend of mine:
“All warfare is spiritual warfare.”
But it’s not light versus dark.
It is the war inside our own soul.
The one that Krishna discussed in the Bhagavad Gita.
It is the soul that is at war with itself.
A soul that foments death instead of bringing light.
It is a choice to be loving.
It takes courage, harnessing every aspect of our being to be loving.
After all, courage comes from the word heart—coeur.
Spirit Communication: They Always Come to
Meet Themselves
The spirit of death told me that I don’t have to concern myself with such individuals.
They always come to meet themselves.
They always come to feel the pain they have caused.
They always experience the harm they have inflicted.
But I have come to bear witness that our battles are simply within ourselves.
There is no enemy.
And there is no opposition.
Real Ghost Story or Bullshit? You Decide.
Whew.
What a wild ride.
You may read this and think what a fantastic fiction writer I am.
Or a fantastic bullshit artist.
But I write only the facts of my experience.
And many of the amazing healers and intuitives I have met in Castelnaudary and in this
astonishing region of Occitanie know I am telling the truth.
I rest in the knowledge that I am surrounded by such individuals who truly understand
me and what I am saying.
Spiritual Power: Why I Choose Love
Dolly Parton said that being nice is a choice she makes.
I say that to Franck every day.
I could be scary.
I could be destructive.
I have considerable power, and I know, thanks to the spirits who help teach me, how to
harness the earth’s forces to do some powerful things.
But I choose to be chill.
To take it easy.
And let people play themselves.
Love rules.
There is only one power.
Anything else is a futile attempt at control.
The law of liberty is in effect.
We can choose our own experiences and our own outcomes.
Life After Death: Love Remains
When death arrives and destroys, love remains.
Love restores.
Love clears the way.
