Tarot by the minute helped local people discover Leslie’s gifts—but the real transformation began when the clock stopped.
Article Summary
Tarot by the minute was an important chapter in Leslie Juvin-Acker, J.D.’s work. It allowed her to meet new people, demonstrate her intuitive abilities, connect with fellow energy healers and spiritual practitioners, and encourage clients to trust their own inner wisdom. But meaningful guidance cannot always be measured in minutes.
Leslie’s work has evolved into intuitive mentoring, a deeper and more personal relationship focused on reflection, emotional clarity, spiritual intelligence, self-trust, and lasting transformation. Tarot has not been rejected. It has simply returned to its proper place: as one possible instrument within a much larger conversation.

The Tarot Readings Were Never Just About the Cards
This last year, tarot by the minute gave people an accessible way to meet me, experience my work, and explore questions they might not have felt ready to discuss anywhere else.
It was immediate. It was engaging. It was often fun.
More importantly, those brief encounters created moments of recognition. A person could sit down carrying confusion, uncertainty, or an unspoken question and leave seeing the situation differently.
Tarot by the minute also helped me connect with extraordinary people. I met clients from many backgrounds, welcomed visitors who were simply curious, and built relationships with energy healers, intuitives, spiritual practitioners, and people exploring their own abilities.
That chapter served an important purpose.
But over time, I realized that what people were seeking from me was rarely just a tarot reading. They were seeking intuitive mentoring: a deeper space in which they could understand themselves, recognize their patterns, make clearer decisions, and learn to trust what they already knew.
Intuitive Mentoring Cannot Be Measured by a Clock
The by-the-minute format makes spiritual guidance approachable, but it also creates limitations.
When a clock is running, people can feel pressure to ask as many questions as possible.
They may rush from one subject to another, looking for immediate answers about love, work, money, family, or the future.
But the most meaningful questions are not always answered quickly.
Sometimes a question about a relationship is really a question about self-worth.
Sometimes a career question is actually about identity.
Sometimes the desire to know what will happen next comes from a deeper fear of trusting oneself in the present.
Those conversations require context, reflection, honesty, and space. They may require someone to pause, reconsider an assumption, recognize a recurring pattern, or take responsibility for a choice.
That is the work of intuitive mentoring.
The goal is not to provide the greatest possible number of answers in the shortest possible time. The goal is to help a person develop the clarity and inner authority needed to move forward without constantly seeking answers from someone else.
Tarot by the Minute Accomplished Its Purpose
I did not stop offering tarot by the minute because it failed.
I stopped because it succeeded.
It helped people discover my work. It allowed me to demonstrate how I listen, interpret, connect ideas, and recognize what may be hidden beneath the surface of a question.
It also allowed people to experience tarot in a way that was empowering rather than frightening or fatalistic.
A reading did not have to tell someone what to do. It could help that person recognize what they were already feeling, consider another perspective, or identify a truth they had been avoiding.
Tarot became a bridge between the conscious mind and the deeper intuitive intelligence that people often dismiss, suppress, or second-guess.
That bridge introduced people to my work. But a bridge is not meant to be the final destination.
From Demonstrating Intuition to Developing It
At an earlier stage of my work, short tarot sessions allowed people to see what I could do.
Today, I am more interested in helping people recognize what they can do.
I do not want clients to believe that wisdom exists only in a deck of cards, in a spiritual practitioner, or in someone they perceive as having special gifts.
Intuition is not intended to create dependence.
Properly understood, intuition strengthens discernment. It helps people notice what feels aligned, identify contradictions, recognize emotional patterns, and make decisions with greater awareness.
My role is not to become another voice that replaces a person’s judgment. My role is to help people hear their own voice more clearly.
That is why my work has evolved toward intuitive mentoring.
Tarot Is a Tool, Not the Entire Relationship
Moving away from tarot by the minute does not mean that I have rejected tarot.
Tarot remains a symbolic language. It can help illuminate a situation, reveal connections, provoke reflection, and give form to feelings that are difficult to articulate.
But the cards are no longer the center of the work at Le Jardin d'Amour.
The person is.
Within a deeper mentoring relationship, tarot or another reflective practice may be used when it serves the conversation. It is not used to perform certainty, create urgency, or encourage someone to return every time another decision needs to be made.
The objective is integration.
An insight becomes valuable when a person can understand it, apply it, and use it to create meaningful change.
Why Depth Matters More Than Speed
A brief interaction can create an opening. A sustained relationship can support transformation.
Many of the people who come to my work are professionals, entrepreneurs, creatives, leaders, high performers, or individuals moving through a significant personal transition.
They do not necessarily need another quick opinion.
They need a private space where they can speak honestly without having to perform, defend themselves, manage someone else’s reaction, or pretend to have everything figured out.
Through intuitive mentoring, we can examine the larger picture:
What is actually happening beneath the immediate problem?
Which patterns continue to repeat?
What does the person already know but feel afraid to acknowledge?
Which choices are being driven by fear, obligation, habit, or external expectations?
What would become possible if the person trusted their own perception?
What practical changes are needed to align their life with that truth?
These are not questions that should be hurried because another minute has passed.
This Evolution Is About Ethical Spiritual Practice
There is a difference between helping someone access clarity and encouraging them to outsource every decision.
I believe spiritual and intuitive work should strengthen agency.
It should not convince people that they are powerless without a reader, healer, coach, mentor, astrologer, or spiritual authority.
A person should leave the work feeling more capable of understanding their emotions, evaluating their circumstances, recognizing their intuition, and choosing their next step.
That commitment to personal agency is one of the reasons I no longer structure my work around tarot by the minute.
The purpose of intuitive mentoring is not to make people need me indefinitely. It is to help them build the confidence, self-knowledge, and discernment that they can carry into every part of their lives.
Gratitude for the People Tarot Brought Into My Life
I remain deeply grateful for the tarot-by-the-minute chapter of my work.
It introduced me to fascinating people. It created conversations that might never otherwise have taken place. It welcomed people who were curious but uncertain. It allowed me to collaborate with and support other intuitives, healers, and spiritually minded professionals.
It also gave many people their first experience of realizing that intuition does not need to be dramatic or frightening.
Intuition can be quiet.
It can be practical.
It can appear as a persistent feeling, a pattern someone finally recognizes, a question that refuses to disappear, or a truth that becomes impossible to ignore.
Those conversations mattered, and they continue to influence the way I work today.
