My Tarot Reading with Elliot Oracle: An Experience That Left Me Speechless

I've experienced countless readings over the years, but my session with tarot reader and author Elliot Adam was something truly special.

By Leslie Juvin-Acker, J.D.

Before we begin, note that this is an honest review. It was not requested by Elliot. I paid for my own session.

Every now and then, you meet someone who is so exceptionally good at what they do that you can't help but admire their talent. That's exactly how I felt after my tarot reading with Dr. Elliot Adam, better known as Elliot Oracle.

I've been following Elliot's work for some time, and I've always admired his knowledge, his approach to tarot, and the generosity with which he shares his wisdom. As someone who has practiced Lenormand and worked professionally as an intuitive, I have a tremendous appreciation for people who take their craft seriously.

So I was excited to finally have a personal reading with him.

And boy, did he deliver!

By the time we finished, I told him, "That was my Olympic gold medal tarot reading!"

I wasn't exaggerating. I was genuinely blown away.

I Didn't Need Someone to Fix Me. I Wanted a Mirror.

At the beginning of our session, I explained to Elliot that I wasn't looking for someone to solve a problem or tell me what to do. I was in a wonderful place in my life, and I simply wanted another perspective.

I love hearing how other people perceive things. Even when I have a strong sense of where I'm going, I enjoy having someone hold up a mirror and show me something from a different angle.

I asked Elliot to let the reading flow naturally, without restricting himself to particular questions or subjects. I wanted to hear what he saw, what he felt, and what he thought was important.

He listened, explained his process, and began laying out the cards using his Extended Celtic Cross spread.

What immediately impressed me was how effortlessly he moved between the symbolism of the cards and his interpretations. He didn't simply name a card and recite a memorized definition. He brought the imagery to life, building a coherent story that became more fascinating as the reading continued.

I knew I was in for a treat.

It Felt Like He Had Been Listening to My Private Conversations

As Elliot continued, something remarkable happened.

He began describing situations, emotional experiences, and inner conversations that felt extraordinarily familiar to me.

Not just broad personality traits that could apply to anyone, but themes and circumstances that connected with things I had recently experienced, discussed privately, or been reflecting upon.

At several points, I found myself thinking, How on earth did he know to bring that up?

What impressed me wasn't simply that his interpretations resonated. It was the way he connected the dots.

He would describe one situation, explain the lesson or emotional dynamic he saw in the cards, and then connect it to something else that felt equally relevant.

The reading had a rhythm and continuity that I found captivating.

At one point, I told him:

"You saw situations I experienced. You felt my inner conversations. You've heard my thoughts. You've seen interactions I've had with other people."

That's genuinely how it felt.

I wasn't merely hearing pleasant things about my future. I felt that he had captured the emotional character of experiences I'd already lived through.

And there I was, sitting in front of my computer, becoming increasingly delighted by what I was hearing.

His Accuracy Was in the Details—and the Connections

I've learned over the years that a good reading isn't necessarily one that tells you exactly what you want to hear.

For me, it's one that offers a perspective that feels relevant, coherent, and meaningful.

Elliot did that beautifully.

He spoke about themes that I immediately recognized from my own experiences, including lessons I had already spent considerable time working through. He used certain words and metaphors that were particularly meaningful to me, sometimes describing a realization in almost exactly the language I had used privately.

When he talked about personal boundaries, for example, he used the image of a shield. That was the very concept I had been working with in my own life.

When he described certain professional possibilities, I recognized conversations I'd already been having with my husband.

When he discussed travel and the desire to visit meaningful places, I laughed because I had recently been talking about exactly that.

These moments were especially enjoyable because I hadn't booked the session to discuss those particular subjects.

Elliot arrived at them through his interpretation of the cards, and I was able to recognize their significance from my side of the conversation.

Of course, a tarot reading is an interpretive experience, and different people may understand that process differently. But from my perspective as the person receiving the reading, the number of meaningful connections was extraordinary.

What Made Elliot Different Was How He Made Me Feel

Here's what I appreciated most about Elliot: I felt seen, respected, understood, and completely at ease.

There was no sense that he needed to impress me, frighten me, or convince me of his abilities. He simply did his work, and he did it with tremendous care.

He was warm without being overly familiar, confident without being arrogant, and encouraging without making the reading feel like a parade of empty compliments.

He also has a wonderful sense of humor.

I laughed throughout our conversation, and that matters to me. Spiritual work doesn't need to be terribly serious all the time. Sometimes the most insightful conversations happen when two people are relaxed enough to enjoy themselves.

What I particularly loved was his generosity of spirit.

Elliot seemed genuinely pleased to share what he saw. He wasn't rushing through the cards or making me feel as though I had to squeeze every last drop of information out of the session.

He gave thoughtful explanations, allowed the conversation to develop naturally, and welcomed my reactions and questions.

By the end, I was genuinely moved.

I told him I felt verklempt, which is a wonderful word for being so overwhelmed with emotion that you can barely express yourself.

I also told him he was "chef's kiss," because sometimes that's the only appropriate review.

The Reading Felt Like a Celebration, Not an Examination

One of the things I've observed in spiritual and intuitive work is that people sometimes approach readings from a place of anxiety. They want to know if something terrible will happen, whether they're making the wrong decision, or whether their future is secure.

That wasn't the energy of this session.

Elliot created an atmosphere that felt expansive, positive, and full of possibility without ignoring life's complexities.

Even when he interpreted challenging cards, he approached them constructively. He explained what they might represent, how those themes could appear in everyday life, and how someone might understand them.

I never felt judged or diminished.

Instead, the reading felt like a beautiful conversation between two people who genuinely appreciate spiritual symbolism and personal discovery.

It reminded me of why I enjoy this work so much.

At its best, an intuitive conversation can help someone feel recognized, encouraged, curious, and more connected to themselves.

That's exactly what Elliot gave me.

And Then He Said My Magic Word

Toward the end of our session, I asked Elliot if there was one final message he wanted to share.

He drew the Page of Cups.

He talked about its symbolism, sensitivity, playfulness, and the importance of protecting the tender, joyful part of ourselves.

And then he said something wonderfully simple: "Just have fun."

I practically jumped out of my chair.

You see, before the reading, I had privately chosen a word that would serve as a personal confirmation for me.

That word was fun.

And there it was, in Elliot's final message.

I immediately told him why I was so excited.

For someone else, that moment might have been a charming coincidence. For me, it was the perfect ending to an already extraordinary experience.

I couldn't have scripted it better if I'd tried.

A Reading That Turned Into a Lovely Human Connection

What I didn't expect was how much I would enjoy Elliot himself.

By the end of our session, we were chatting about Lenormand, the differences between tarot and other forms of cartomancy, and our mutual appreciation for intuitive work.

I told him about my approach to Lenormand, and he spoke warmly about the system and how direct its symbolism can be.

We laughed about how Lenormand sometimes delivers its message with all the subtlety of a slap in the face.

He also mentioned that he lives much of the year in Bath, England, and invited me to say hello if I ever visit.

I offered to treat him to a Lenormand reading of his own, which he graciously welcomed.

There was something lovely about ending a professional session not simply as a satisfied client, but as two people who had enjoyed exchanging ideas and appreciating one another's talents.

Before we said goodbye, I told Elliot how much I appreciated the work he shares publicly. Producing educational and inspirational content takes effort, and I wanted him to know that his generosity doesn't go unnoticed.

I meant every word.

My Final Review of Elliot Oracle

Would I recommend a tarot reading with Elliot Adam?

Absolutely. And enthusiastically.

What impressed me most was not any single card or prediction. It was the overall quality of the experience.

His interpretations were thoughtful and articulate. His reading felt remarkably accurate to my personal circumstances. He connected themes in ways that made sense to me, used language that resonated with experiences I hadn't explained beforehand, and created a welcoming atmosphere where I could simply enjoy the conversation.

I left feeling uplifted, inspired, understood, and incredibly happy that I had booked the session.

I have enormous respect for someone who combines knowledge, experience, sensitivity, and genuine kindness in the way Elliot does.

It takes skill to understand a symbolic language. It takes even more skill to communicate that language in a way that feels human, relevant, and meaningful.

Elliot has that gift.

As I told him during our conversation, I wasn't looking for someone to fix me. I wanted a mirror.

And he offered me a beautiful one.

So thank you, Elliot, for a delightful, enlightening, funny, and deeply enjoyable experience.

Five stars from me. Or should I say, an Olympic gold medal! 🥇
