The Iran School Bombing Is More Than a Military Failure—It Is a National Wound That Could Fuel Generations of Rage, Retaliation, and Reckoning

A school full of children was reduced to rubble. More than 150 people were killed. Preliminary military findings reportedly point toward the United States, yet months later, the American public is still waiting for complete transparency from the Pentagon.
For Americans, this may be one more terrible headline in one more distant war. For Iranians, it could become something entirely different: a date everyone remembers, a wound carried by every family, and a national trauma that changes the course of history.
The Iran school bombing may be Iran’s 9/11.
This opinion essay argues that the Iran school bombing may become Iran’s equivalent of 9/11: a national trauma that fuels grief, rage, retaliation, and political transformation for generations. Leslie Juvin-Acker, J.D., connects the Minab school strike to America’s post-9/11 overreaction, the enrichment of military and political elites, the erosion of civil liberties, and the collapse of American moral authority. Iran School Bombing: The Day the World Stopped Again
If you are an American, you know exactly where you were when the first plane struck the Twin Towers.
The world stopped.
People gasped. They clutched their hearts. They shook their heads. Everyone watching knew the world would never be the same.
What ensued was an overreaction that devastated an entire region, cost billions of taxpayer dollars, ruined our reputation as a country that respects privacy rights, and created a domino effect of ineffective and insane leadership that eventually turned the White House into a stage for reality-TV buffoons.
In fact, Brown University’s Costs of War project estimates that the post-9/11 wars ultimately cost the United States approximately $8 trillion. The post-9/11 legal response also dramatically expanded federal surveillance and information-sharing powers.
Iran School Bombing and the Revenge Machine America Built
Little did Americans know that this confused, torrid quest for revenge would help ruin the economy as working-class Americans funneled money into the hands of military contractors and lobbyists.
Politicians from both sides turned public office into a money-making, personal-enrichment machine. Together with corrupt officers of the courts, they dismantled the protections of the workaday American—ultimately turning a crucible for American dignity, sparked by tragedy, into the authoritarian and fascist collapse of a nation.
The expanding influence of the arms industry includes lobbying, campaign donations, revolving-door employment, think-tank financing, and participation in government advisory bodies. Brown University researchers have also concluded that war spending likely reduced investment in infrastructure, increased borrowing costs, and cost civilian jobs.
And here we are, years later, doing what we so abhorred all those years ago: killing innocent people—not once, but twice—in a two-wave strike so egregious that anyone with eyes and a conscience should understand that Iran will turn all that energy back onto the people of the United States.
Open-source investigators verified two separate waves of strikes in the area surrounding the school and an adjacent Revolutionary Guard compound. Whether the second wave legally constitutes a deliberate “double tap” remains part of the unresolved investigation.
Minab School Strike: America Is Doing What It Once Abhorred
The attacks will not only be against government machines like the military.
They will happen on every level: financial systems, electronic security, the food and water we consume, and all the ways Americans make money abroad.
Everything that matters to Americans—materially speaking—will be struck first: lives, food, capital, and goods.
Then the personal targets will come.
Iran has already signaled personal retaliation against Trump. I believe it will target his properties. It will target his family. Like a mob hit, the most visible figures will be struck first.
Reported assassination threats against Trump and public calls for vengeance have already intensified the personal dimension of the conflict.
Then, intelligence scraped from YouTube videos and social-media posts will be used to identify the enablers: the media, the talking heads, the financiers, and the influencers of hate.
They will be next.
Poisoning. Torture. Loss of income.
All the ways to make a person suffer.
Iran will systematically imbue the air these individuals breathe with so much toxicity that they will not survive.
U.S. Strike on an Iranian School: The Blowback Will Not Stay Overseas
If this sounds scary, I ask you not to be naïve.
Iran is not dumb. Iran is not poor. Iran is not ignorant.
Iranians know Americans better than Americans know themselves because they have been standing outside looking in, watching Americans dumb themselves down for decades.
And this process has been extremely profitable for oligarchs and corrupt politicians.
It has fundamentally become the weakness that will allow a coordinated, systematic
effort to strike the jugular of the nation so goddamned easily.
Iran Girls’ School Bombing: Do Not Underestimate Iran
Why do I say all this?
Because I know.
I just know it.
Just as I knew all the times before: the 2008 economic collapse, the 2011 economic collapse, COVID mass hysteria, the racism and fascism in America fueled by propaganda, and the current economic bloat trying to keep markets afloat under a disastrous and poisonous executive administration.
It all has to collapse.
It will collapse on its own—but with great help from enemies we did not need and created ourselves.
